Black Orbit Foundation was established upon a simple yet powerful conviction: Africa’s greatest resource is not beneath the ground but rather within our classrooms.
The foundation was founded by Raindolf Owusu, a Ghanaian technology entrepreneur whose journey into technology began at age 12 when his father purchased him a computer. That single act of investment in a young mind sparked a passion that would eventually lead to impactful work across digital health, artificial intelligence, and data collection and analytics. With expertise spanning software development, ERP systems, and mobile applications, Raindolf has witnessed firsthand how early exposure to technology can transform not just individual lives but entire communities.
This personal experience became the catalyst for Black Orbit Foundation. While the world advances toward an AI-powered, space-exploring future, too many young Africans observe from the periphery, convinced that cutting-edge innovation occurs elsewhere, by other people. Black Orbit Foundation exists to dismantle that misconception.
We are building a movement of young Ghanaian innovators who understand that Africa’s challenges, from healthcare to agriculture, education to climate change, can be addressed through African ingenuity powered by twenty-first century tools.
We focus on ages 7 to 15 because this developmental period is when career interests crystallize, STEM confidence develops, and young people begin to envision their futures. Early engagement enables profound inspiration.
We do not merely discuss technology. We demonstrate it, present it tangibly, and facilitate direct student interaction. From AI demonstrations to space mission simulations, we render the future accessible and concrete.
Inspiration without accompaniment is insufficient. We provide continuous mentorship, competitive opportunities, and genuine pathways for young innovators to develop and implement their ideas.
We teach technology through the lens of African challenges and opportunities. Students learn AI by exploring its applications in Ghanaian healthcare. They study space exploration by examining how satellites can revolutionize African agriculture.
We believe in the transformative power of new ideas and bold thinking.
We establish high standards and provide comprehensive support for young people to achieve them.
We celebrate African ingenuity and prioritize African-centered solutions.
We entrust young people with significant ideas and authentic
We prepare African youth to assume leadership positions on the world stage.
